Weaverville
Church of the Nazarene
You are welcomed to the Weaverville Church of the Nazarene. May your
stay at the church be warm and inviting, we pray that the spirit of God is
sensed and moving in you, and you will gain a greater knowledge of what God
can do in
your life.
- Mission Statement:
To help all people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus
Christ.
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27
We are created in his image and share all of his wonderful traits. Our
compassion, creativity, sorrow, pain, suffering, joy, laughter, all our
feelings and our very being are felt by God. Jesus Christ, who is fully
God and fully man at the same time, became like us for our salvation.
Through him, all things are possible.
We are called by Scripture and drawn by grace to worship God and to
love Him with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, and our neighbors
as ourselves. The local church in worship is at the core of our identity.
It is in worship that we understand most clearly what it means to
participate with God in the work of redemption.
God lives in each of us and we provide a current and relevant message
of what our purpose on earth holds.
Statement
of Beliefs of the Nazarene Church
Available During the Service:
Nursery Care - Kids 0 to 2
Toddler Church - Children 3 & 4
Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become
like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matt.
18:3
We are dedicated to the nurturing of our children in the spirit of the
Lord. Our children's Ministries exist to SHARE Christ with the children of
our community, TEAM them up with other Christians, and ADVANCE them in
their spiritual maturity. We will help them recognizes their spiritual
gifts and to surrender their lives to God. Christianity does not begin nor
end with our children; it is the children. Their unbridled love of God
without our hang-ups is the model to live our lives by. Amen.
PromisedLand Kids K-6th Grade

This is a special time for our youngsters to gather in an interactive environment
to learn the lessons taught to us by Jesus.

SERVICE:
Music - Feel free to sit, stand, sing, or just listen as we express our
love and worship to God using all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength.
If you don’t know the songs, don’t worry, we didn’t
know them at first either.
Prayer Time - Join us as we pour out our hearts to God, our heavenly
Father. Stand, kneel, sit, or bow at the altar - it's not about our physical
position, rather our spiritual position.
The Offering - Our regular members give to the church for it’s
continuing ministries, and in obedience to Scripture. If you are a guest
with us today, don’t feel obligated to contribute - we do ask that
you fill out a Connection Card and place it in the offering plate or turn
it in at the “Welcome Center”
The Message - A time of practical teaching from the Bible for today’s
living.
After the Service - We would like to meet you! Please introduce yourself
to our pastor before you leave. Meet him at the main doors.
